Types of sheep farming

In general, three types of barns are used for sheep. They are

Open spaces for sheep

Sheep are kept in this type of barn in places where there is relatively less rain. This house is created by fencing off a certain area. It has no roof. Usually straw is used for the ground.

Semi-open sheepfold

These are types of houses surrounded by a fence. It has a small roof in the corner and a thatched floor.

Sheep camp attached

Houses of this type are completely covered. Good air management and easy movement. The floor can be completely or lightly concreted. These types of sheepfolds are very effective for sheep farming.

Sheep usually graze all day and rest in the house at night. In addition, they need this type of dwelling to protect themselves from rain, storms and bad weather.

A flat or mezzanine floor can be provided for the sheep. The probability of virus and worm infection is less in the mezzanine. And it’s very cool.
