The Ardennes red turkey is a breed of turkey that was brought from Mexico to Flanders in the 16th century by the Spaniards.

The Red Turkey of the Ardennes is a medium-sized bird with a very beautiful appearance.

They are usually red or rust in color with white wings and tail feathers.

The red color of the tail is purer and the large feathers of the wings are more or less nuanced with red. The cat’s feathers are edged with a thin, very dark brown band.
