Special Notes

The Iranian high-flying pigeon is a very strong and hardy breed. It can fly very well at very high altitudes and sometimes out of sight.

A somersault is nothing more than a Birmingham Roller, individual somersaults, sometimes hovering before doing somersaults. Iran’s best high-flying roly-pigeons tend to dominate the rest of the set to show off their skills.

The flight characteristics of these birds are the same as soaring/gliding birds, with slower wingbeats than most flying pigeon breeds.

Their flight characteristics are different from the scoring flight style of, for example, the Tippler pigeon. They are very hardy birds and fly for endurance, gaining altitude rapidly.

They are reported to fly between 8 and 12 hours. In addition to flying, the breed is also well suited to being kept as a pet. However, check out the full profile of this breed in the following table.
