How To Do Keyword Research

Module 2 -:  This is part 2 of a series of articles I started a few days ago titled: ”  How To Blog For Free And Make Money.”

Now, if you really want to drive huge traffic from Google and other major search engines, you have to master the art of search engine optimization (SEO). It’s just about optimizing your blog for the keywords people use as queries when they use search engines to find information relevant to your blog content. As such, search engine optimization is a proven traffic magnet because it increases the visibility of your blogs in search results.

While it’s important to understand how to optimize your blog for specific keywords, it’s much more important to know which keywords to optimize. The success of your SEO efforts largely depends on whether you optimize your blog for the right keywords or not. It is only when you find the right keywords and optimize your blog for them that you can get results from your SEO efforts.

Now,  how do you find the right keywords – those keywords that people use in search engines, information similar to what you suggest on your blog  ? Answer:  niche keyword research  .

However, you have to remember that delivering quality content is not the key to your blog’s success. What matters most is delivering quality content that people are actually looking for. And that can only be figured out by researching niche keywords.

Enough about the importance of keyword research. Now let’s take a look at the steps involved in the process. Here we will be using the best online keyword research tool,  Google Keyword Planner

. This tool is free and easy to use. Keyword research is therefore something you can do on your own. Here are the next steps:

Basics of Keyword Research

The first step is to make a list of niches that interest you. Examples include  book lovers, students, football fans, basketball fans, game enthusiasts, photographers,  etc. If you are missing any niche ideas, you can head to the following websites for more ideas and research:

Amazon  – www.amazon.com is one of the best sites to research your niche. Look in one of their niche ideas department. They have specific sections that tell you exactly what is being sold in their market. Some of these sections are:

  • Hot new releases
  • The most gifted
  • Most desired for
  • rocking shakers

EBay Pulse

  – pulse.ebay.com provides you with information on current trends and interesting things that are being sold on eBay. It also gives you a list of popular searches, top stores, and top products.

Google Trends  – www.-.com/trends is used to compare specific niches to see if the right time of year to start a blog will compare global interest in certain niche markets.

Traffic potential

. Once you’ve identified a few potential niches, you want to see if there is traffic or if people are looking for it. information or products in this niche. I usually use Google Keyword Planner – adwords.-.com

How to do a niche keyword research online

a. Open your browser and visit adwords.-.com If you already have a Google account, such as a Gmail account, simply sign in with your details (i.e.  enter your username and password). pass  ). But if you don’t have a Gmail or other Google account, click on the sign up button   to start signing up.

b. Answer the questions on the registration form. Make sure your answers are correct and complete the registration.

vs. Once registration is complete, open adwords.-.com again and enter your username and password (  since you are already registered  ).

re. The next page displays a green menu bar, click  Tools and Analysis  . A drop-down menu appears. From this list, select  Keyword Planner  .

e. On the next page, you will see four options. Click the first one (  Search for keywords and ad group ideas  ). Ignore the other three options; you don’t need it.

F. From the drop-down list, enter your main blog topic or niche in the Your Product or Service column   . For example, if you plan to blog about   weight loss tips , enter   weight loss tips . (  As for the Landing Page  and  Product Category

columns   , you have nothing to do with that  .)

g. In the Targeting section   below, select the country you are targeting and leave this field blank if you are targeting a global audience. If you are targeting the United States, just type US and click on the country name to confirm. Then click outside the box to save your settings.

h. In the section  Customizing  the  search,  click on the box  filters by words  –  key  and set the  average monthly search  over 500 or 1000 or more (  depending on your choice  ). Ignore the Average CPC field   .

I. Click the Include or Exclude box   , enter the original keywords  (  weight loss tips

in our example  ) in  the Include terms box. This will only select the keywords that are closely related to your original keyword.

j. Click the Get Ideas button   and wait for the results. Then go to the Keyword Ideas tab   for a list of keyword suggestions.

Next I will introduce my main keyword, in this case I found a niche related to ‘  DSLR  ‘ which is mainly dedicated to digital camera / photography. So enter the DSLR (no quotes) and it returns the number of keywords I can target. As you can see, this niche receives a lot of traffic. I usually focus my efforts on keywords, get between 14,000 and 30,000 searches per month, and narrow down from there. Here are the potential keywords I found:

  • Sigma digital SLR
  • Presentation of the digital SLR
  • Best DSLR Camera
  • SLR digital photography
  • DSLR cameras
  • Best digital SLR

I will continue to use this example throughout this article so that you can get a complete example of how to research a niche and blog around a specific topic. Is it profitable  ? – This is by far the easiest step in niche research to see if there is money in your specific niche. Basically, there are several ways to monetize your blog, and I’ll explain them here in this article.

But first, you’ll want to test your keywords and see how much advertisers are paying per click. The cost per click (  CPC  ) of the keyword must be at least $ 1. this will let you know that we have companies paying money for their business / product in order to get information. So I did a research on the 6 keywords I’m targeting to see if they averaged at least $ 1.

As you can see, this set of niche keywords costs an average of $ 1. Now we want to check if there are any related affiliate programs that we can promote. There are two ways to do this; simple google search as  niche keyword + affiliate program

  .

After a search over 220,000 possible results or affiliate programs were returned that I can advertise and earn money from. The second way to find affiliate programs is to simply search large affiliate networks where companies or vendors are looking for affiliate programs. You can research your niche in these networks to see if there are any good products to promote.

  • Junction  commission – www.cj.com
  • Shareasale
     – www.shareasale.com
  • Clickbank – www.clickbank.com

However, you should keep in mind that not all of the key ideas on your list will be useful. Some keywords will be so competitive that people like your blog will have nowhere to find in the search rankings for those keywords.

To get the expected results from your SEO efforts, you need to target low competition keywords. How do you know which keywords have low competition  ? Just enter each keyword into Google and look at the sites or blogs that rank it.

If authoritative sites are at the top of your search results for a keyword, chances are you won’t be able to rank for that keyword. For example, entering keywords related to weight loss may return results that have reputable health sites like WebMD, Mayo Clinic, and Medline in the top spots – a sign that you should drop that keyword for. the others who rank. less popular and lower quality websites or blogs.

How to find niche ideas without using the internet

Choosing the wrong niche is the worst mistake you can make as a blogger. It’s like going in the wrong direction from the start of the journey. No matter how hard you try, you simply won’t find your way. And to get it right, you’ll probably have to start over.

If you choose the right niche, your path to blogging success will not only be easy, but also short. So you really need to take the time of your life to carefully determine which niche is right for you before you take the plunge. This is the most important part of the planning process for your new blog.

While most blogging experts advise using online resources when trying to come up with niche ideas for your blog, I think you can. without using the internet. In fact, if you’re blogging for a local audience, I’d recommend prioritizing your results and observations offline.

Now  how can you come up with niche blogging ideas without using the internet  ? Here are five tips to help you do it easily:

1. Define your interests

Your first step in finding a niche idea for your blog is to find out what you are passionate about or are most interested in. In short, your ideal niche idea should be closely related to your passion or interest.

So, you should blog on topics that you are really passionate about or are very interested in. You don’t have to be an expert on a subject. You can easily find great information on any topic and get great content. But you need passion and interest in the subject to be able to do it consistently.

Your passion for the subject will keep you strong even in the face of those trials that new bloggers complain about, like low traffic. Your interest in a topic will encourage you to always learn something new about the topic and to present new ideas to your audience. And your knowledge or experience on a topic will help you provide your audience with practical and reliable information.

Now, I’m going to walk you through how to start a niche blog based on your strengths, hobbies, talents, or personal skills, while still making a lot of money. Creating a niche blog using this template will suit those who enjoy writing and talking about their hobbies. You can make money online just by writing or talking about your personal life, hobbies, or anything else. It is very possible to turn any hobby, talent or skill that you have into an ATM.

But I think it’s worth knowing that not all blogging niches are inherently profitable because the topic you choose often determines the future size and profitability of your blog to some extent.

When going this route, it is important to choose a niche that really interests you, as a natural passion for the topic supports the content creation process and will in fact make any blogging task enjoyable. So the first thing to do is to create a list of topics that interest you. So my own list would look like this:

  • Make money
  • Reading
  • Investment
  • Technology
  • Writing
  • Martial Arts
  • Video games
  • Study animals

Now I’m not sure what your passion might be, but if you want to dig deeper and see if there are any sub-niches you can blog about. Do a simple Google blog search at  http://blogsearch.-.com  to see what others are blogging about and see if you can find a niche in it. When writing down your hobbies and interests, it’s also important to check your search volume and estimate potential traffic so that you don’t waste time writing a topic that isn’t making money. .

2.discover people’s desires

Even if you are passionate about or know a particular topic, you won’t be successful blogging about that topic if people aren’t interested. So you have to find the topics that people are desperately looking for information about. Objective research, not guesswork or intuition, is the only way to find these topics.

For example, if there are a lot of dog breeders in your area, you might want to blog about dog breeding, grooming, selling puppies, etc. This is because dog owners are always looking for strategies to help them breed, groom, and sell their dogs for profit. …

Likewise, if unemployment is a major problem in your city or country, you can start a blog. it contains proven tips for finding a job quickly.

3. Think about personal accomplishments or problems that you have solved in the past.

Another great way to find a blogging niche is to think about issues that you have solved in the past that many people in your area are currently struggling with. …

For example, if you were once overweight and managed to reduce it, find out how many people around you are struggling with the same problem and start considering starting a weight loss blog.

4. Find out what people like to talk about

Another great way to determine what is most likely to be a profitable idea for the blogging niche is to find out what people are talking about in their spare time. Are they talking about politics? Are they talking about sports? Are they talking  about movies  ?

Find a meeting place between your passion and what people in your area always talk about. If you start blogging based on this, there is a good chance that you will quickly attract a large following, because if people like to discuss a topic offline, chances are good that they also want to discuss it online. line.

5. Find the best-selling magazines

Check out the best-selling magazines in your area and you will be able to get an idea of what kind of information people are interested in. If sports magazines are selling like crazy, chances are a lot of people in your area are sports enthusiasts who will appreciate a sports blog. Likewise, if health and wellness magazines are among the top selling, then it would be a good idea to start a health and wellness blog.
