Monetize Your Blog And Make Money

Monetize Your Blog And Make Money

Module 6 -:  This is part 6 of a series of articles that I started a few days ago titled: ”  How to Blog for Free and Make Money.”

A few people blog just as a hobby and there is no monetization plan, but most people start blogging with the goal of making money in the long run. In fact, most of the articles you will find on the internet dealing with blogging will highlight how profitable it can be and how it can become a full time business.

One of the most frequently asked questions for newbies to blogging is:  How do you make money blogging? This explains the fact that most newbies and budding bloggers don’t know how blogging makes money. In fact, someone once told me that they used to think that every blog visit automatically adds money to the owner’s bank account. It might sound silly, but it’s not fair!

While there are more than just ways to make money with your blog, here are five methods that are profitable and super easy to implement:

5 Convenient, Profitable Ways To Monetize Your Blog And Make Money

1. Digital products

If you have a ton of valuable information on topics that people are very interested in, you can put that information together in an eBook and then put it up for sale on your blog. Writing and packaging an eBook is very easy and can be completed in no time.

Additionally, you can create videos or podcasts (  downloadable audios  ) with valuable information that you want to sell. However, you should keep in mind that people generally prefer eBooks over videos for two reasons: First, they are more familiar with eBooks. Second, downloading eBooks requires much less data than downloading videos.

However, if the information you are selling is of a type that cannot be effectively explained in writing, a video would be more appropriate.

2. Affiliate marketing

If you don’t want to go through the process of creating your own product, you can still make a lot of money promoting and selling other people’s products. In fact, many bloggers make more money from affiliate marketing than from selling their own products.

The principle of affiliate marketing is quite simple: you sign up for an affiliate program or online. You choose which products you want to advertise and create a unique affiliate link or banner for each product. You then place your affiliate banner at strategic points on your blog, or you post a product presentation or overview article (  this article will contain your affiliate links  ). Every time someone clicks on your banner or affiliate link and then makes a purchase, you earn a commission on that sale.

Examples of affiliate networks: Amazon, Commission Junction, ShareaSale, Markethealth, Clickbank, etc.

3. Advertising

There are two ways to make money from your blog through advertising. The first is to sign up for an advertising network that automatically generates and launches advertisements on your blog. And second, by selling advertising space directly to advertisers.

Once your blog starts to attract significant traffic, you can sign up for an advertising network such as Google Adsense, Infolinks, or Chitika. These networks will generate ads that are closely related to your blog content and place them in the placements you created for those ads. Every time a visitor to your blog clicks on this ad, you earn money. However, you have to remember that you will need hundreds to thousands of clicks to earn a decent amount. And that’s why you need huge traffic for this method to work well for you.

Additionally, you can offer ad space for sale to businesses whose target market matches your blog audience. For example, if you run a tech blog, you might be selling ad space to companies selling tech products like smartphones and PCs. Businesses only pay to advertise your blog if they attract significant targeted traffic. So, you need several thousand daily visits to attract advertisers.

4. Freelance / Consulting

Another smart way to make money with your blog is to offer your services to your blog audience. If you have the skills, you can offer services like freelance writing, blog setup and installation, graphic design, search engine optimization, data entry, and more. for your audience.

Likewise, if you have many years of experience in a specific area, you can offer consulting services through your blog. For example, if you are an experienced lawyer with many years of business law experience, you can consult with small businesses on legal matters.

5. Premium content

If you are indeed burdened with information that you are unlikely to find elsewhere, you can charge your visitors or audience a fee for that information. There are many ways to do this. You can set up an online course consisting of a series of lessons or modules. Or you can create a separate blog or forum that only those who pay to access can access.

How to get big companies to advertise on their blog

Selling ad space to advertisers is one of the most profitable ways to make money on your blog. In their quest to attract more customers, increase sales and ultimately increase profits, advertisers are ready to advertise their business on any blog that is hugely successful and has its target audience as its audience.

You would surely come across blogs with advertising companies. These blogs represent the bulk of their advertising revenue. And your blog can reach this level as well. I mean, you can get big companies to blog on their blog as well, but you need to plan a few things before that happens. Here are five things you need to do to attract big advertisers to your blog:

a.Create huge traffic

Because advertisers want to get as many leads as possible, they only advertise on sites that attract huge traffic. So if you really want to make money by selling ad space to big companies, then you need to take all the steps you know to increase your traffic.

Post lots of useful and valuable content so that visitors have a good reason to come back regularly. Implement search engine optimization for your blog so that your blog can rank high on the search engine results pages (  this will attract tons of visitors from search engines only  ).

Create Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ profiles for your blog so you can connect with people and attract huge audiences on social media. Apply paid advertising methods such as using Google Adwords or Facebook Ads as it can bring you a lot of traffic in a short time.

b. Create targeted and quality traffic

No advertiser will be convinced to buy ad space on your blog after hearing just traffic statistics. Advertisers want to be sure that your traffic can actually give them a good return on their investment, so they will be interested in finding out more about your traffic. They will want to know where your visitors are coming from. They will want to know the source of your traffic. And they will want to know the type of content that attracted your visitors.

If more than 90% of visitors to a high-tech blog are interested in smartphones, advertising on such a blog will not benefit a company that sells security devices, even if they are also devices. techniques. This explains why advertisers want to know what content on your blog is getting the most traffic.

Likewise, if the majority of your visits are from Nigeria, foreign companies will not pay to advertise your blog because their target geographic market is different from the geographic location of your audience.

vs. Have a professional layout

The layout of your blog can be the difference between attracting advertisers and reflecting them. Advertisers want their ads to appear on blogs that appear professional and that will present their ads strategically for maximum engagement.

If you want to attract advertisers to your blog, you need to make it look professional. This doesn’t necessarily mean that your blog has to look complicated (  it could  actually  be counterproductive  ). A professional look can seem very simple. It’s about making things cool and good. Your colors and fonts should be carefully selected.

In addition, a good navigation structure is part of a professional blog. Visitors don’t have to look around to find out how to navigate your blog.

d. Create an advertising page  here

Sometimes the only way to tell potential advertisers that you have ad space for sale is to place an “Advertise Here” page and banner on your blog.

This page will contain important information about your blog that will be of interest to advertisers, such as your daily and monthly unique visits and pageviews, Alexa blog traffic rank, and a description of your blog audience. Your Advertise Here page   will also contain your contact details so that interested advertisers can easily contact you. If you don’t know how to write an ad page  here  , you can check out other blogs for a clue.

e. Contact advertisers

Even if your blog is popular and gets a lot of traffic, advertisers may not show up as expected. In this case, you need to find and transfer them in advance. Find advertisers who might be interested in buying advertising space on your blog and reach out to them telling them about your blog and the benefits they can get from advertising on your blog.

This strategy works well. And it’s highly recommended for anyone looking to monetize their blogs with ads only.

Blog for Passion vs Fame vs Money: Which is Better?

If you put together a hundred bloggers and ask what made them blog, you’ll get a variety of responses – from logical to funny to ridiculous – but you can group all the reasons into three main categories: passion, fame and money. In other words, these three things get people to start blogging.

In this article, I’ll explain each of these patterns and compare the three to see which one is the best.

  • Blog for passion

This is when you start blogging about a topic because of a great passion for the topic or a serious interest in it. When you blog purely for passion, you aren’t looking for fame or profit. And every time you post a new article, you’re happy because you’ve just done what you love to do.

Those who blog for passion don’t care whether a lot of people read their posts or not. And they don’t worry about blogging costing them money instead of making them a profit. Their goal is to learn more about a chosen topic and to express their passion for it through blogs on that topic. And they’re happy to have an easy way to share their thoughts online.

When you blog out of passion, you’ll be able to consistently and consistently post new content for your blog. This is because passion is like the fuel that sustains you even when everything is against you.

Passion for a subject does not necessarily mean being an expert on the subject; if you decided to blog about herbs, for example, because of your passion and interest in them, you don’t need to know them in advance. All you need is an interest in them, which will motivate you to keep looking for more information about them.

To blog for passion, you must not only be passionate about the topic you want to write about, but also teach others, write, research, and publish yourself online. They all play together to form a heavy dose of fashion so you don’t have to worry about the rewards.

This is when you create a blog with the aim of promoting yourself on the Internet. Those who blog for fame don’t necessarily write about topics they like; and they don’t choose their subjects based on its profitability. Instead, they choose topics that are of interest to a lot of people and always want to talk about it online. Indeed, by blogging about such topics, many people get to know and talk about them, and as a result, they will become famous.

When you’re blogging just for the sake of celebrity, you may very well quit blogging if you’re not getting as much attention and traffic as you expect. Writing a topic that you are not passionate about is a challenge in itself, and if the only reward that can keep you going – fame – doesn’t go as planned, then you go because there is no other motivation. .

Blogging for fame is common among politicians, public figures, public analysts, and others who want to be popular and want an audience they can call their own and share their thoughts.

  • Blog for money

Money is the number one reason most people start blogging. Well, should we blame them  ? They’ve seen or heard about the lives of bloggers like Darren Rose, John Chow, and others, and they want the same for themselves. So they take the plunge with nothing but money in mind.

Those who blog just for the money are usually not passionate about the topics they choose to blog about. They are also not interested in becoming famous. All they want is to be rich! A lot of people write about how to make money online, not because they are passionate about or interested in the topic, but because they think John Chow is wealthy right now because he blogs at the subject.

However, unfortunately, making money blogging doesn’t happen quickly. It usually takes years. But most people who blog just for money can’t wait that long because they’re not passionate about the topic. This explains why most of them quit blogging out of frustration or start over.

What is better?

Since passion is the only factor that can motivate you to produce content consistently and continuously, even in the face of adversity, this is the best. And the interesting thing is that if you blog about passion, fame and money will inevitably come to you, even if you haven’t been looking for them from the start.

Your passion will motivate you to consistently create content that people will love. It will help you build confidence and ultimately bring you huge profits in the long run. While passion is still the best motive for blogging, it doesn’t hurt to strive to achieve all three goals early on.
